Warrington boss Steve Price said he felt for his counterpart Lee Radford, who has been sacked as Hull FC coach.
Radford was sacked just minutes after Hull’s shocking 38-4 defeat at home to Warrington on Thursday night.
Hull owner Adam Pearson made the announcement in a live post-match interview on Sky Sports, with the club having lost four out of their first seven matches of the season.
Price said: “I’ve just been told in the sheds what has gone down and you don’t like to see that on anyone.
“I have a huge amount of respect for Lee as a rugby league coach, I find him as a really thorough gentleman.
“He’s been great for Super League and won two Challenge Cups at Hull. I feel for him.”
Andy Last and Kieron Purtill will take over Radford in temporary charge of the Airlie Birds.
