There seems to be a few crossover transfers happening between Super League and the NRL.

Smith set for Widnes

St Helens half-back or hooker Matty Smith is set for a move to Widnes Vikings ahead of the 2019 season.

Smith has found chances limited at the Totally Wicked Stadium this year, making just seven appearances in Super League, mainly coming off the bench. It is believed that the 30-year-old will see out this campaign at Saints though.

Gelling attracting more Super League interest

New Zealand Warriors star Anthony Gelling appears to be on the radar of a couple of clubs in Super League.

It has been reported that the Cook Islands international has been offered a contract by the Vikings for next year. However, Widnes face tough competition though as Catalans Dragons are also interested in the centre.

Milner takes step closer to NRL

Castleford Tigers star Adam Milner looks to be on his way to the NRL and Sydney in particular at the end of the year.

The loose forward or hooker has been a key player for the Tigers this season and the news will come as a big loss to Cas supporters. He has made no secret to the Castleford club of his dreams and intentions to play in the NRL in recent weeks.

Taupau wants Manly exit

New Zealand star Marty Taupau wants to leave Manly Sea Eagles, according to reports in Australia.

A number of NRL and Super League clubs are showing strong interest in the front-rower and it is understood that he wants to leave. The Sea Eagles have recently been busted over salary cap issues and are looking to offload players, but not Taupau.

Manly team-mate Akuila Uate is close to agreeing a move to Huddersfield Giants, could Taupau join him in Super League?

Ormsby move to Salford back on

Former Warrington Wolves and Huddersfield Giants winger Gene Ormsby could be back in Super League before the end of the season.

The 25-year-old is currently plying his trade with Barrow Raiders in the Championship, but he has told the club that he wants a release from his contract after finding the travel commitments from Manchester to Cumbria difficult.

Ormsby was on trial with the Red Devils before his move to the Raiders in pre-season. It has been well documented that Salford are on the lookout for backs and it’s been rumoured that the club are considering signing Ormsby until the end of the season.

Wigan offer Manfredi new deal

Wigan Warriors have put faith in injured winger Dom Manfredi in offering him a new contract with the club.

The 24-year-old has not played for the first team in two years after suffering a couple of serious knee injuries. Manfredi, who has scored 48 tries in 58 games for Wigan, is set to take up an offer for the 2019 season.
