Morgan Knowles and Benjamin Jullien receive bans

Morgan Knowles and Benjamin Jullien have received suspensions for separate incidents in the game between St Helens and Catalans Dragons on Saturday.

The cases were heard last night by an independent operational rules tribunal which involved Chris Batty, Danny Sculthorpe and Graeme Hallas.

Saints star Knowles was found guilty of a Grade E dangerous throw charge on Catalans’ Thibaud Margalet.

He contested the grading but the tribunal upheld and Knowles has been suspended for four games and fined £500.

Meanwhile, Dragons ace Jullien appealed against a one-match penalty notice for a Grade B dangerous contract on St Helens’ Jonny Lomax.

The appeal was dismissed by the independent operation rules tribunal, meaning that his one-match suspension still stands and will now miss their Betfred Super League clash against Hull Kingston Rovers on Thursday.
