Wigan winger Tom Davies is set to join Catalans, according to reports in France.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Warriors in 2020, with the club have many options for the two wing spots.

Joe Burgess, Liam Marshall, Dom Manfredi, Bevan French, Jake Bibby and Davies would all be competing for starting roles on the wing at Wigan next season.

Davies is set to link up with the Dragons imminently, according to Catalan Media. It’s unclear yet whether the move is a loan or permanent deal. He had previously been linked with a switch to Leeds.

The hard-working speedster will link up with former Wigan team-mates Sam Tomkins, Joel Tomkins, Lewis Tierney and Micky McIlorum in Perpignan.

Davies has scored 32 tries in 63 games for hometown club Wigan and has also earned one cap for the England Knights.
