Scott Wheeldon re-joins Sheffield

Sheffield have signed prop Scott Wheeldon from Featherstone on a two-year deal.

The 33-year-old has spent the past two seasons at Rovers, making 36 appearances. Wheeldon will don a Sheffield jersey next year, like he did between 2016-17.

Wheeldon said: “I am happy to be back.

“I enjoyed my time with the Eagles when I was here before.

“Obviously I’ve spent a couple of years elsewhere then there was an opportunity to come back.

“I spoke to Tubbs [Mark Aston, coach], he likes me as a player and a person so I’m more than happy to come on board.”
