Tangata returns to Wakefield Trinity

Wakefield Trinity have announced the signing of prop-forward Adam Tangata on a season-long loan from Halifax.

The former Cook Island international spent the latter part of the 2019 season on loan at the Belle Vue in a swap deal for Keegan Hirst, who joined Halifax in the Championship.

Tangata made five appearance for Chris Chester’s side and will return on a season-long loan in 2020.

“I enjoyed my time here last year,” he said.

“I only played a handful of games but I was keen to stay on for 2020.

“I’m looking forward to being a part of it here at Wakefield. I’d like to see how far I can push myself and I’m sure I’ll enjoy being in a full-time environment.”
