St Helens showed the utmost respect for Sean O’Loughlin by forming a guard of honour for the retiring Wigan legend after the Grand Final.

A late try from Jack Welsby sealed an 8-4 victory for Saints against the Warriors in Friday’s Super League Grand Final at the KCOM Stadium.

The Wigan-St Helens rivalry is one of the biggest in rugby league but it is a rivalry with plenty of respect, as champions Saints illustrated after the full-time hooter on Friday night.
