Super League is the hot topic in the rumour mill this week.

Naughton keen on Super League return

Curtis Naughton is eyeing a return to Super League for 2019. The former Hull FC back’s representatives have been in touch with several Super League clubs over a contract for next season and beyond. He scored 17 tries in 29 games for FC. He has most recently been plying his trade for NSW Cup side Lakes United. Widnes Vikings, Hull Kingston Rovers and Salford Red Devils are three clubs who are believed to have been contacted.

White staying at Widnes

Wales star Lloyd White is on the verge of signing a deal with Widnes Vikings. The 29-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has recently been linked with a move to Wigan Warriors. However, it is understood that the Cardiff-born hooker will pen a new deal with the Vikings.

Livett on verge of new deal

Warrington Wolves starlet Harvey Livett is on the brink of signing a contract extension with the club. The 21-year-old’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season, but after his glowing performance against Leeds Rhinos last week, coach Steve Price wants to keep him. It is believed the deal will be announced before the end of the month.

Wigan in for Bullock

Wigan Warriors are set to sign Barrow Raiders prop Joe Bullock on a two-year deal from the 2019 season. The 25-year-old came through the ranks at Wigan, before signing for Leigh and then Barrow. Warriors coach Shaun Wane sees Bullock as a project player, like Gabe Hamlin and Romain Navarrete are currently.

Patton and King to leave Warrington

Declan Patton and George King are set to leave Warrington Wolves at the end of the season. Patton, 22, has found chances hard to come by in Steve Price’s side this season, while Ireland prop King has also been used sporadically. Both of their contracts are up at the end of the season and it looks like their future lies away from the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Salford and Toronto interested in Briscoe

Salford Red Devils and Toronto Wolfpack are reported to be interested in signing Featherstone Rovers star Luke Briscoe. The 25-year-old winger or full-back has been scoring tries for fun for Rovers this season and even beat Martin Offiah’s record of scoring in 15 successive games at the weekend. The Red Devils lost out on signing Matty Russell to the Wolfpack but are understood to be determined to get this move over the line.
