Brisbane Broncos prop signs contract extension

Brisbane Broncos prop Thomas Flegler has signed a new deal that will see him stay at the club until the end of the 2021 season.

The 20-year-old has played 23 games for the Broncos since making his debut earlier this year. He is a Junior Kangaroos representative.

Flegler said: “It all happened pretty quick, so I’m pumped to be here for another year and get back into training and focus on 2020.

“First of all, I’d just like to get my minutes up and play as many rounds as I can.

“Ideally I would love to get a starting spot in the number 13 jersey, but if that doesn’t happen I’m still going to go out next week and try my best.

“At the moment everything is heading in a good direction. There’s probably more younger boys in the squad than there is older boys, so we’re binding together really well.”
