South Sydney Rabbitohs half-back Cody Walker has signed a new deal that will see him stay at the club until the end of 2022.

The 29-year-old has scored 42 tries in 96 NRL appearances for the Rabbitohs. He has played one game for New South Wales in Origin and has represented the Indigenous All Stars.

Walker said: “I’m really happy to have this contract signed. South Sydney is my home and I didn’t want to play for anyone else.

“There’s really no other option for me.

“It was my priority to stay here and I’m glad the club and my management were able to come to an agreement before Christmas so we can enjoy this special time of year as a family, then turn our focus back on to getting prepared for next season.

“I can’t wait to see what’s ahead in the coming years for this club, this team, the members and the supporters. There are exciting times ahead and I can’t wait to part of it all.”
