The men’s Challenge Cup quarter-final draw will take place live on BBC Two following Castleford’s sixth round tie with Hull on Sunday.

The quarter-finals of the prestigious cup competition will be held across the weekend of June 16-18, with all four set to be televised.

BBC will get first picks for the Saturday and Sunday afternoons, while Viaplay will broadcast the remaining two.

The semi-finals this year will be played as two separate events on the weekend of July 22-23, with one on the Saturday and the other on Sunday at neutral venues.

There are plans for each to be a men’s and women’s double header, with the Women’s Challenge Cup final also being held at Wembley later in August in a first ever for the sport.

The draw for the quarter-finals of the Women’s Challenge Cup will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 5 Live next Friday night, May 26, after their live coverage of the Super League fixture between Leeds and St Helens.

In the men’s competition, St Helens, Leigh, Hull KR, Wigan, Warrington and Salford have now cemented their places, with all ball numbers confirmed for the next round draw.

The action continues on Sunday afternoon, live on BBC, as Castleford host Hull at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

One Championship side will feature in the quarter-finals, with York hosting London Broncos on Sunday, 3pm kick off.
