Adrian Lam “really happy” with Wigan’s prospects

Wigan coach Adrian Lam says he is excited by the state of the club and remains positive for the future of the game.

The Super League season has been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, with a return date yet to be announced.

But Lam is happy with where the Warriors are at – and is eager to get back into the swing of things once the pandemic is over.

He said: “I’m really happy with how we are doing at the moment.

“We are sitting top of the table, we’ve got some great young players coming through and we bought really well with George Burgess, Jackson Hastings and Jake Bibby.

“We’ve got a few to come back from injury in Oliver Gildart and Ben Flower so I’m really excited.

“I know there are some uncertain times ahead in the world with the coronavirus but I’m a positive person and I’m excited about what is going to happen with rugby league.”
