There has been some major blows following Super League’s Rivals Round.
Jack Walker set for scans
Leeds full-back Jack Walker will undergo scans following a hamstring injury against Huddersfield, interim-boss Jamie Jones-Buchanan confirmed.
Walker, 22, was forced from the field in the first half on Thursday night at Headingley Stadium.
Jones-Buchanan said: “He looks to have a pretty significant twang on his hamstring.
“We’ll have to scan that in the next couple of days. Typically, it’s Bank Holiday and nobody is open, but we’ll do our best. We’ll find out what’s wrong with him.”
Mike McMeeken suffers broken arm
Catalans forward Mike McMeeken suffered a broken arm during Super League’s first ever French derby.
The Dragons edged past Toulouse 18-10 in Perpignan on Thursday night, with a crowd of 8,922.
Steve McNamara said: “Mike’s got a badly broken arm and he is in the ambulance now, which is clearly bad news for him. We hope it isn’t as serious as it looks.”
Hull derby injuries
Hull KR back-rower Frankie Halton was forced from the field following his side’s victory over Hull on Good Friday. Tony Smith is hoping for nothing serious to the ankle injury. Tom Garratt has had a setback with his concussion symptoms and is expected to miss a few more weeks.
Half-back Mikey Lewis was ruled out for up to two months ahead of the game, undergoing surgery on an ankle injury.
Hull FC‘s Andre Savelio looked to have also left the field with an ankle injury at Craven Park.
Morgan Knowles out for the next two games
Morgan Knowles will miss St Helens‘ next two fixtures against Huddersfield and Castleford.
The England international failed a HIA in their 22-4 win over rivals Wigan on Good Friday. Due to the new 11-day return to play protocol, Knowles will now sit out of Saints’ next two matches.
St Helens are also sweating on the fitness of half-back Lewis Dodd, who hobbled off the field 16 minutes from the end of the match against Wigan.
Meanwhile, Wigan captain Tommy Leuluai left the field with a knee injury which will be looked at in more detail today.
