Warrington back-rower David Solomona has suffered a broken leg on the Wolves’ pre-season tour in Australia.

Solomona, 33, picked up the injury in training and was operated on in the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, Sydney.

A club statement said: “The operation was a success and David is now back with the squad and in good spirits.

“The club’s medical staff are happy with how everything has gone so far and David will remain with the team for the duration of the pre-season training camp in Australia.”

Warrington are Down Under preparing for the new Super League season, and will take on NRL side South Sydney Rabbitohs in a pre-season friendly on January 27th.
