Jordan Thompson sticks with Leigh

Jordan Thompson has put pen to paper on a new deal with Leigh for 2020.

The 28-year-old back-rower returned to the Centurions midway through last season from Hull FC. He played 13 games for John Duffy’s side in 2019.

Leigh boss Duffy said: “Jordy’s been great since coming back here and has fitted into the group well.

“He is a real good character to have at a club, he gets all the lads together and is a bit of a joker outside of training but once he gets into training he goes hard.

“I remember the first session when he came back and he was just rattling our lads, it got a bit tasty that session and he really lifted our intensity.

“He needs to be more consistent next year, especially in his defence. That said, we played him out of position in the final games of the season and I thought he was outstanding.”
