Trio agree new deals with Doncaster

Doncaster have handed new one-year deals to Ryan Boyle, Brad England and Brandon Douglas.

Prop Boyle has captained the Dons since joining from Halifax ahead of the 2018 campaign, while back-rower England will enter his fourth season with the club in 2020.

Doncaster coach Richard Horne said: “I’m pleased to keep Boyley at the club for another year, his experience of playing at a higher level has been important for us since he came to the club.

“He is a well respected member of the squad and a player who doesn’t take a backward step, and I’m sure he is looking forward to getting down to work in pre-season.

“It will be good for us to get Brad back training in pre-season so he’s fit and strong for the season ahead.

“Having missed the majority of last year, I know he can’t wait to be back on the field and get back to the form he showed in 2018.”

Forward Douglas arrived at Doncaster last year from Castleford, with the Dons fighting off competition to retain his services.

Douglas said: “I’m really happy to have signed a new deal with the Dons.

“I wanted to stay here and improve on last season which didn’t end as we would have liked both personally and as a team.”
