Jodie Broughton facing lengthy spell on sidelines after knee surgery

Catalans winger Jodie Broughton will have surgery on Thursday for meniscal injuries in his knee.

The 31-year-old left the field with the knee problem during their 32-28 win over Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium last weekend.

Scans have revealed that Broughton’s recovery can be anything between a month and four months, depending on the rehabilitation that is needed once the surgeon has fully assessed the injury in theatre.

Broughton – who is off-contract at the end of the season – will also see a specialist for an injury to his neck that he suffered in the same game.
