Holdsworth to return for Hull

test

Daniel Holdsworth looks set to return to action for Hull FC when they head to Bradford Bulls on Friday night.

Holdsworth, 29, has been suffering with a calf injury that he picked up in the Black and Whites’ recent home loss to Wakefield and his recovery is a timely boost for the side.

Although Hull were successful with Aaron Heremaia again slotting into the halves against Catalan, Holdsworth is likely to go straight back into the starting line-up to face a Bradford side battling to keep their own hopes of making the play-offs alive.

Coach Peter Gentle will be able to switch Heremaia back to his role off the bench, as this allows him to spell hooker Danny Houghton, who has played lots of minutes in recent weeks.

With games being played in soaring temperatures, and Houghton maintaining his high work rate and tackle count, the Airlie Birds do not want him burning out as they head into the business end of the season.
