Greg Inglis will be loved in the Super League, according to England international George Williams.

Inglis, 33, will come out of retirement to join Warrington in Super League on a one-year contract in 2021.

Former Wigan half-back Williams, who moved to Canberra in the NRL ahead of 2020, believes Inglis will be a star in England.

Williams told NRL.com: “He’s going to be loved.

“He’s obviously an icon over here (in Australia) and is one of the greatest to ever play the game.

“I’m sure if he’s fit and well which he seems like he is then he will be great for the Super League and hopefully he can get back to his best.”

Canberra full-back Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is also looking forward to watching Inglis back in action again.

Nicoll-Klokstad added: “He’s a freak of the game and I’m glad he has come out of retirement and is going to be testing himself over there in the Super League.

“I’m really looking forward to being able to watch a bit more of GI.

“All the kids growing up back home (in New Zealand) would pretend to be him when they score tries and stuff, so I’m excited to see what he brings to the Super League.”
