New recruit David Fusitu’a is set to make his first appearance for Leeds in Sunday’s clash with Hull FC.

The game will celebrate team-mate Tom Briscoe’s testimonial. The clash at Headingley kicks off at 3:00pm.

Fusitu’a joined the Rhinos from New Zealand Warriors during the off season. He will line up on the wing for the Rhinos final home pre-season clash.

The 27-year-old joins the club on a two-year deal from the NRL. He scored 61 tries for New Zealand Warriors but has struggled with injury over the last two seasons, making just 12 appearances.

The Tonga international scored a hat-trick for his nation in their 28-22 victory over New Zealand at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.

He has also won two caps for New Zealand in 2016.

Prop Matt Prior is set to make his first appearance of pre-season.

New captain

Leeds have confirmed the appointment of Kruise Leeming as their new club captain for 2022.

Leeming, 26, joined the Rhinos in 2020 from Huddersfield and has already made 40 appearances for the club.

He made his England debut in 2021 and was named in the Super League Dream Team last season.
