Taniela Tuiaki weighed in with a brace of tries as West Tigers overcame Canberra 34-26 at Campbelltown on Monday night.

The Raiders’ pairing of Terry Campese and Justin Carney grabbed a try each before the Tigers fought their way back into the contest. Gareth Ellis was impressive in his first competitive start with his new side, proving strong in defence and gaining valuable metres in attack.

Benji Marshall was inventive at halfback although it was far from a perfect performance from the hosts.
