Walmsley expecting tough Hull battle

St Helens prop Alex Walmsley is expecting Hull FC to be physical in their approach, when the two teams clash at the KCOM on Friday evening.

Saints have picked up two points from their three Super League clashes so far, and want to beat Hull to get their season on track.

“Hull like to get stuck in for sure,” Walmsley told his club’s official website.

“As a middle we need to be on our game. They were red hot against Huddersfield last week and that is what they are capable of.

“It is important we bring the storm this week as we need to match them in every single part of the park.

“The last two results have been disappointing but the mood of the camp is still positive. We have done enough in those last two games to win them. Minor details need sorting out quickly and we are doing what we can to iron them out.

“We are creating chances and opportunities but not putting teams to bed.

“You can’t take anything away from Leigh and Wakefield but we have done enough to win both games and that is hurting us most.”
