Two-month stadium ban for March

Keighley player-coach Paul March has been handed a two-month stadium ban for verbally abusing match officials.

March, 34, was found guilty of improper conduct and breaching the game’s Respect Policy following comments he made to the referee at the end of Keighley’s defeat to Leigh at the start of March, while he was already serving a four-match suspension as a player for questioning the integrity of a match official in February.

He is now prohibited from entering any stadium in which Keighley are playing until July 8.

It means March, who pleaded not guilty, will not be able to attend the Cougars’ Challenge Cup quarter-final against Widnes.
