It’s time for Love Rugby League’s Sunday Social, your alternative recap of the serious and not so serious talking points from the past seven days.

Thursday evening is not one that Jason Qareqare will forget in a hurry! The flying 17-year-old crossed inside 60 seconds on his Castleford debut with his very first touch of the ball, much to the delight of head coach Daryl Powell!

Another young Englishman, Dom Young, came up with this tidy finish in the corner to score his first NRL try in just his second appearance for the Newcastle Knights.

Sticking with the theme of exciting new talent, Arthur Mourgue just can’t stay out of the headlines, can he? The Catalans flyer scored a stunning solo effort to help his side edge out winless Leigh 36-30 in a thrilling contest on Saturday afternoon.

Back Down Under, former Salford hooker Joey Lussick came up with a trademark scamper from dummy half to find the line in Parramatta’s 40-12 victory over Wests Tigers.

Elsewhere, a hat-trick from winger Josh Charnley, rounded off by this agile finish in the corner, helped Warrington get back to winning ways with a 38-18 victory over Wakefield.

And finally, there’s nothing like a bit of nostalgia in rugby league, is there? How about this from Featherstone, captured over 75 years ago!
