Sio feels extra week off can refresh Hull KR

Hull KR winger Ken Sio believes that a weekend off will have helped to recharge the Robins’ players batteries.

Rovers have lost their opening two Super League games, to Leeds and Wakefield, and have conceded over 80 points in doing so.

They have also scored plenty of tries, but Sio knows that they have plenty of issues to address, especially in defence, before they play Wigan this weekend.

“The extra week we have had will certainly help us,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.

“It will help us sort a few things out that we have needed to address since the season started.

“We know Wigan are a very good side and we know our defence needs to be a lot better than it has been in our first two games.

“The World Club Series will have taken a lot out of the three Super League teams involved and we hope we can make the most of that advantage.

“Training has been tough since we last played and we are looking forward to this game.

“I think we should be higher in the table, but we’re not and we have to learn from the mistakes we have made in the first two matches.”
