Wigan captain Sean O’Loughlin was taken to hospital after suffering an eye injury in their win over Toronto.

The Warriors defeated the Wolfpack 32-10 at the DW Stadium on Thursday night.

O’Loughlin was set to mark his 400th Super League appearance with a try but was struck in the face by Toronto utility Hakim Miloudi six minutes from time. Miloudi was sin-binned for the incident.

Wigan coach Adrian Lam said: “He’s not good.

“It doesn’t look good, his eye. He’s on his way to hospital. He’s walking but he can’t see out of it, so it’s a concern.”

Toronto coach Brian McDermott hopes Miloudi will not face any further disciplinary action from the incident which saw him yellow carded.

He said: “I thought it was a harsh yellow card.

“He was defending his try-line and poked him in the eye but it was a fingernail. Hopefully nothing will come of it.”
