Charity night announced for former Great Britain forward

A charity night will be held at Newton Sports Club for former Great Britain forward Ian Potter on 30th April. (St Helens Star).

Potter was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease earlier this year at the age of 63.

Hull winger ready to head to Ukraine

Hull winger Mitieli Vulikijapani has said he would be ready to go to Ukraine with the Army if they ask him to. (Daily Mirror).

He told Daily Mirror: At the moment, I don’t know what will happen. But if they do contact me, I should go back because the Army is the priority. If given the chance to go to do some peacekeeping – if we’re deployed – I’ll help out wherever I can.”

Adrian Lam provides update on possible move for Blake Ferguson

TV coverage confirmed for 1895 Cup

The battle to reach Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 1895 Cup is on – and both semi-finals will be live on Our League on Sunday, May 8. (Love Rugby League).

Following the draw, which was live on BBC Radio Cumbria yesterday morning, the inaugural AB Sundecks 1895 Cup winners Sheffield Eagles will play Whitehaven in a play-off to reach the semi-finals.

Jordan Turner on Jamaica’s ambitions

Turner told Love Rugby League: “It is an exciting year. The World Cup is quite a long way away at the minute and while I’m excited about it, I’m not really focusing on it at the minute.”
