Matty Russell reveals Salford U-turn

The former Warrington winger had agreed a deal with the Red Devils before joining Super League’s newest side.

Russell, 28, has travelled well in his career; Gold Coast Titans and Toronto on his list of former clubs.

Toulouse head coach Sylvain Houles has said that full-back Mark Kheirallah will never play for his team again.

“Mark won’t play for again for us. As simple as that,” Houles said following their Salford fixture.

Rugby league on Channel 4 saw its second edition over the weekend as Hull hosted St Helens.

The game had an average of 468,000 viewers on Saturday afternoon, with the 12:30pm kick-off.

An average of 531,000 watched Leeds host Warrington in round one on Channel 4.
