Hull FC coach Lee Radford says the Black and Whites found a way to win against Salford.

Hull FC were below their best at times but managed to close out the game last night against a committed Red Devils team, who took the lead late in the match.

Tries to Marc Sneyd and Mahe Fonua in the final 10 minutes sealed the victory.

“The momentum swung when they scored and it all changed from there,” Radford said.

“Since I’ve been here, the games here have been pretty close and we’ve come out as the losing side on a number of occasions, so to flip that on its head tonight is a credit to the group.

“It becomes a habit, finding a way to win, and we’ve done that on many occasions this year.”

Radford hailed the display by fullback Curtis Naughton, who came in for Jamie Shaul.

The FC boss was impressed with the youngster, as well as performances from Kirk Yeaman and Sika Manu.

“There was some really tidy performances tonight. I thought Curtis was fantastic at fullback,” Radford said.

“I thought Yeamo was outstanding and Sika Manu, for two weeks running, has been our best player on the field.

“So I’m really, really pleased with how they went and it puts us in good stead leading up to next week.”
