Daryl Powell is happy with the start Castleford have made to the season, although he is fully expecting the Tigers to struggle at some point.

The Tigers head into Sunday’s game at Salford with a 100 percent record, but Powell believes it is inevitable they will suffer a dip in form during the campaign.

“Without question, we’re going to have tough times throughout the year,” Powell said.

“I don’t think anybody would expect to go through a season without having a difficult period.

“We’ve just got to be as consistent and as mindful of the challenge ahead of us every single week and I think we have done that well so far.

“We’re enjoying ourselves at the moment, but we need to recognise we’ve got some tough games coming up.

“We’ve just gone through our first block of games and we’ve done really well and it’s about putting those behind us and moving on.”
