Oldham v Rochdale friendly rearranged

Oldham and Rochdale have pencilled in January 31 as a possible date for their rearranged friendly clash, which fell victim to the weather at the weekend.

Rescheduling is tricky, due to the two clubs’ campaigns starting in earnest at different times, but the game should go ahead at Spotland at the end of January.

“Our situation is different to Rochdale’s because our season proper starts much sooner than theirs, but Scott and I have looked at all the pros and cons and we have decided to go with January 31,” said Oldham chairman Chris Hamilton.

“Rochdale will now apply for the new date to be sanctioned by the RFL.”
