Parramatta prop Tim Mannah says he is happy with his recovery from a knee problem which threatened to rule him out of the Eels’ 2011 NRL campaign.

Mannah, 22, was diagnosed with a medial ligament tear in suffered during one of coach Stephen Kearney’s brutal pre-season fitness sessions last month.

But thankfully for the Eels coaching staff, Mannah has reported no problems with the injury and says he is itching to get the season underway.

“I’m happy with the recovery and I’m back to training, which is great,” Mannah told parraeels.com.au.

“It’s only a couple more weeks before our first trial and I’m just loving ripping into training at the moment.”

Mannah represented City Origin last year and has already been touted as a potential Eels captain of the future.
