Liam Forsyth signs extended terms with Leigh

Leigh centre Liam Forsyth has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The 23-year-old joined from neighbours Wigan midway through the season and scored ten tries in as many games for the Centurions.

Leigh coach John Duffy said: “Liam came to us midway through the season and I’d coached him before at Swinton. He scored some very good tries for us last season.

“He’s just a natural try scorer. He got some tries last season where I don’t even know how he got the ball down.

“He’s come through a good system at Wigan and I have no problems at all with him, he just gets on with it.

“Liam just wants to progress and work hard. He really took to the way that we played and slotted straight in, never taking a backwards step.”
