Leigh’s enjoyable pre-match entertainment schedule continues with the confirmation of English rock band Toploader.

The Eastbourne-based band will perform ahead of the Super League clash against Leeds in Round 10 on April 21, with an 8:00pm kick-off.

Toploader have more than two million album sales to date, with several top 20 hits since their form in 1997.

They are arguably best known for their cover of US hit ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ released in 1999, while their debut album, Onka’s Big Moka, peaked in the top five of the UK Albums Chart.

The band will join the list of Scouting for Girls, T’Pau and The Lottery Winners to have performed at the Leigh Sports Village ahead of Super League action.

Leigh owner Derek Beaumont has provided the entertainment away from the field upon his side’s return to Super League, providing an event with every game day.

The side enjoyed a record Super League crowd in their Battle of the Borough fixture against Wigan, with 9,189 inside the Leigh Sports Village as Matt Peet’s Warriors claimed a 34-6 victory.

The Leopards have enjoyed an average crowd of 8,504 so far in 2023, excluding their Rival Round clash with Salford Red Devils, where Elvis and Robbie Williams tribute singers performed.
