Lawrence injury blow for Giants

Huddersfield centre Michael Lawrence has been ruled out for more than a month with an ankle injury.

Lawrence, 19, was taken off after just five minutes of the Giants’ win over Leeds on Sunday, but scans showed there was no fracture in his ankle, but a grade 2 sprain.

Meanwhile, forward Andy Raleigh will face a Rugby Football League disciplinary panel on Tuesday after being cited following an incident in the same game.

Raleigh has been charged following an alleged punch on Ali Lautiiti during the second half of a stormy encounter at the Galpharm Stadium and could now be handed a one-match ban.
