Laithwaite relishing chance to make amends against Hull KR

Warrington back rower James Laithwaite has insisted that his team are relishing the chance to get back into action against Hull KR.

The Wolves suffered a heavy defeat in Perpignan last week to the Catalans Dragons, and Laithwaite maintains that the team is keen to make amends for their poor performance.

“We’re looking forward to Hull KR,” he said.

“There’s a lot of players dying to get out there and make amends for last week’s performance.

“Obviously Hull KR have come off the back of a good win against Wigan, so they’ll be confident as well.

“We’ll be fired up and we want to make amends.

“We played them preseason and beat them 40 points to nil.

“But that’s not a reflection on them now, it was a preseason friendly.

“We believe if we stick to our gameplan this week, and get that fatigue out of our system from the World Club Challenge – that was lying a bit over us last week.

“If we get that out of us, and focus and stick to what we know, it should be a good game.”
