Kevin Naiqama to play on

Fiji international centre Kevin Naiqama is set to play on in 2022. He is set to sign a one-year deal with Sydney Roosters. (Sky Sports)

The 32-year-old said it was likely he would retire after Saints’ Grand Final triumph last season. He left Saints to return home to Australia, but he is now set to play on for at least another year.

New club for Israel Folau

Former Catalans centre Israel Folau has found a new club, and it is back in rugby union. He has been training with Japanese club Shining Arcs.

Channel 4 move hailed

Leeds star Richie Myler has hailed Super League’s groundbreaking new Channel 4 TV deal. (Mirror)

Myler told the Mirror: “Sky have been tremendous for the sport for so long – now this is another string to the bow which can hopefully take the game to a new audience.”

Lussick told the St Helens Star: “I am really looking forward to the opportunity the club have given me, and this year being with Robes and be able to pick his brains and watch the way he goes about things and embrace everything I can.”

Wakefield stadium update

There is an update on Wakefield’s stadium, with chairman John Minards outlining exciting redevelopment plans. (Yorkshire Live)

Minards told Yorkshire Live: “By the end of it, we will have probably spent somewhere in the region of £12million and what we will do is build a new East Stand.”

Jack Sinfield tipped for success

Leeds’ new recruit Aidan Sezer has tipped teenager Jack Sinfield, son of club legend Kevin, to make the grade in Super League. (Yorkshire Evening Post)

Sezer told Yorkshire Evening Post: “There’s no doubt he will represent the club at the top level soon.”
