Johnny Whiteley MBE to present 1895 Cup

Hull legend Johnny Whiteley MBE will present the 1895 Cup to the winners at Wembley on Saturday evening.

The 1895 Cup final (5:30pm) between Sheffield and Widnes will follow the Challenge Cup final (3pm) between St Helens and Warrington at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Whiteley was a member of the last Great Britain team to earn an Ashes series victory over Australia on home soil in 1959, and the coach of the last Lions team to win an Ashes series in Australia in 1970.

He will be joined by Andy Gregory, Martin Offiah, Ellery Hanley MBE and Malcolm Reilly OBE in the Royal Box at Wembley.

More than 100 past players will be in attendance at Wembley, with all members of the Great Britain Rugby League Lions Association being invited to attend as well as all former Challenge Cup finalists.
