Utility Billy Brickhill has signed a new deal with Swinton for 2020, with the option for a further year.

The forward has impressed for the Lions in the Championship this season, scoring two tries in 25 games.

Swinton chairman Andy Mazey said: “It’s pleasing to get Billy re-signed for 2020 and beyond as he was a player Stuart [Littler] was really keen to retain and we worked hard to keep him at the club.

“He’s settled into the club really well this year, operating as a hard working nine and his versatility has given Stuart some strong options when required.

“Billy is a model young professional and an integral part of our young squad.

“He’s very well respected within the group and is a great role model on and off the field. We feel there’s a lot more to come from him and look forward to seeing him develop further with us as part of this exciting young outfit.”
