Wigan Warriors winger Joe Burgess has updated fans on his injury following a successful surgery.
The England international injured his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Wigan’s 32-24 victory over Widnes Vikings at the end of April at Halton Stadium.
The 23-year-old landed awkwardly after challenging for the ball in the air which saw him pick up the injury in the second-half. He scored eight tries previously in the 2018 Super League campaign.
Burgess wrote on social media: “Got may [my] MCL and ACL back again, now on the road to recovery.”
