Jackson Hastings reveals tribute to Jansin Turgut on Magic Weekend shirt

Salford star Jackson Hastings has revealed the messages of support to stricken former team mate Jansin Turgut, currently recovering in hospital in Ibiza.

Hastings will line-up for the Red Devils against Hull KR at Anfield on Sunday.

Hastings will wear Turgut’s name printed on the bottom of the rear of his playing shirt, which itself is a special edition for Magic Weekend.

On the front centre of the shirt, an embroidered message reads: “Never above me, never below me, always beside me, brothers for life. JH”

Then on the sleeves is the message “Pray for JT”.

Turgut’s family released a statement with a positive update on the former Hull player’s condition, and also thanked the rugby league family for their support, which has included raising several thousand pounds to aid his medical costs.
