In numbers: Super League round 11 attendances

A total of 55,386 spectators attended a fixture during Super League round 11.

That’s an average attendance of 9,231 across the six fixtures, an increase of 355 compared to the previous round.

Four Super League fixtures hit five-figure attendances

Four of the six fixtures in Super League recorded a five-figure attendance in the latest round.

Leeds saw the highest attendance of round 11 with 13,333 on Friday night against Hull KR. The Rhinos claimed a 12-0 victory at Headingley Stadium, their third win of the season. Incoming head coach Rohan Smith is expected to land in England this Tuesday.

Hull’s fixture on Saturday against Toulouse recorded a crowd of 11,308. It’s the club’s second highest attendance of the year so far – their round two clash with St Helens saw an attendance of 12,673.

10,988 spectators saw champions St Helens claim a 14-10 victory over Salford on Friday at the Totally Wicked Stadium. Head coach Kristian Woolf will be sweating on the fitness of Jonny Lomax and Will Hopoate ahead of their Challenge Cup semi-finals clash against Wigan. The duo left the field against Salford.

Halliwell Jones Stadium recorded a crowd of 10,104 as Warrington suffered a heavy defeat to Wigan. Matt Peet’s side claimed a comfortable 40-22 victory. Wigan sit second in the Super League table, claiming nine wins so far in 2022. Warrington have won five of their 11 fixtures so far.

Catalans recorded their lowest crowd of the season so far with 6,487. The Dragons ran in eight tries to ease past Castleford on Friday.

Finally, Wakefield saw a crowd of 3,166 for their home tie with Huddersfield on Thursday. The Giants claimed a close 14-12 victory thanks to tries from Chris McQueen, Luke Yates and Ricky Leutele.

A total of 569,059 supporters have attended a top flight game of rugby league in 2022.
