Hull KR provide injury update including Halton and Lewis latest

Hull KR back-rower Frankie Halton is set to be sidelined for a few weeks with an ankle injury. 

Halton, 25, rolled his ankle during the club’s Good Friday derby win over Hull at Craven Park. The former Featherstone forward has undergone scans that have revealed a sprain.

He has been ruled out for ‘the next few weeks’ the club has confirmed.

Following the side’s win in Toulouse, Will Dagger will require a scan on a reoccurrence of a knee injury. He first sustained the knock against Leigh in the Challenge Cup.

Hooker Matt Parcell sustained a concussion in the Easter Monday fixture. He will now sit out the mandatory 11 days for a head injury. Tom Garratt also continues to experience concussion symptoms which has delayed his return.

Albert Vete is back in contention for their clash with Wakefield. Dean Hadley also returned during their trip to France.

Hull KR provide Mikey Lewis update

Mikey Lewis has undergone surgery and will now be unavailable for six-to-eight weeks. He picked up the knock during their Challenge Cup victory over Castleford in the quarter-finals.

The half-back ruptured ligaments in his ankle early in the second half of the Robins’ 34-10 win. 

Elliot Minchella commits long-term future

Elliot Minchella signed a new four-year contract with Hull KR earlier this year. The deal will see him remain at Craven Park until the end of 2026.

The 26-year-old signed for the club ahead of the 2020 season, as one of five players the Robins signed from Bradford. He was named vice-captain ahead of the 2021 season, with Shaun Kenny-Dowall taking the main role. His 2021 season was cut short be a serious knee injury. He returned to action earlier this year, first appearing for Dewsbury before playing for Tony Smith’s side.
