Hull went up to fourth in the Super League table with a 14-8 win over Catalans Dragons at the MKM Stadium on Sunday evening.

FC hooker Danny Houghton made his 400th appearance having made his first team debut in 2007. Hull FC full-back Jake Connor made his 200th carer appearance, whilst Samoa international Ligi Sao played his 100th career game.

The Airlie Birds opened the scoring in the 17th minute through forward Jordan Lane, who darted through a gap in the Dragons defence. Jake Connor added the extras.

Catalans hit back through Fouad Yaha. The try saw the France international draw level with Vincent Duport as the club’s all-time leading try-scorer.

Yaha has scored 87 tries in 134 appearances for the Dragons since 2015. Duport touched down 87 times in 198 appearances for the club across 11 seasons.

FC powerhouse Chris Satae edged his side further in front on the hour mark as he bulldozed over from close range.

England World Cup hopeful Connor added a penalty goal on the stroke of half-time to send Hull into the sheds 14-4 ahead.

Steve McNamara’s Dragons threw everything they could at Hull in the final 10 minutes but the Airlie Birds held on for the two points.
