Huddersfield 4-24 Salford

Salford earned their fourth victory of the season with a suprise win over Huddersfield at the Galpharm Stadium.

Salford were efficient as they took apart a Huddersfield side whose play was littered with errors, characterised by Kevin Brown missing touch with an early penalty, leading to Wilshire posting the first try in the corner for the Reds.

Huddersfield struck back when Aspinwall pushed a high kick back to Robinson to score but from then on Salford took control and refused to relinquish it.

Darrel Goulding put them back in front and Wilshere stroked over a penalty before Richie Myler intercepted near his own line to race the length of the field for a sensational try which took the game out of Huddersfield’s grasp.

With seven minutes remaining Salford added further gloss to the scoreline with Talau palming Ratchford’s pass into the arms of Mark Henry to complete a tremendous win for the Reds.
