Higgins joins Wildcats

Wakefield have moved to sign former Hull and Castleford prop Liam Higgins from Championship side Sheffield.

Higgins, 27, came through the Hull academy and made more than 100 appearances for the Tigers before joining the Eagles for the 2011 season.

Wildcats Head Coach John Kear said, “I’m thrilled to welcome Liam to the Club. He is a player that we tried to sign in the off season and I’m delighted that he is with us now.”

“He is a strong, powerful prop forward and I look forward to seeing him in action for Wakefield.”
