Harlequins 24-17 Wakefield

Harlequins moved up to fourth in the table after triumphing over Wakefield in a closely fought encounter.

The London based side led at half-time by the narrowest of margins thanks to tries from Luke Dawn and Will Sharp. Wakefield repied with scores from Danny Brough and Richard Moore, with Brough also firing over a drop-goal as the half-time hooter was ringing to leave the scores at 12-11.

Howell put Harlequins further ahead after the break as he reached Orr’s grubber kick first and Williamson opened up a wider margin as he forced his way over going for a last tackle power play.

Tony Martin reduced the gap as he charged through a gap from Brough’s neat pass to score for Wakefield but Harlequins held on for the win.
