Williams, 23, only signed a four-year deal with the Warriors last year but says he would consider any offer from Down Under, with Newcastle favourites, according to NRL.com.

The Warriors confirmed that John Bateman would be leaving for Canberra at the end of the year, following Ryan Sutton out of the exit door.

Williams told NRL.com: “”It is something I have always dreamt to do so I definitely want to give it a go if there is a chance,” Williams told NRL.com.

“Wigan would have to agree but if the NRL was an opportunity for me I would love to move to Australia to take that up.”

Williams made his Wigan debut back in 2013 and has gone on to make more than 130 appearances.

He experienced life Down Under while with England for last autumn’s World Cup.
