Toulouse have signed Samoa international Frank Winterstein on a two-year deal from Penrith Panthers.

The 32-year-old has made more than 160 career appearances for Canterbury Bulldogs, Wakefield, Crusaders, Widnes, Manly Sea Eagles and the Panthers.

Winterstein has earned nine caps for Samoa on the international, playing in the 2013 and 2017 World Cups.

He said: “I am delighted to join Toulouse Olympique and I look forward to meeting my team-mates and the staff.

“My family and I are excited to discover life in Toulouse. I want to bring all my experience to the group to achieve our goal which is promotion to Super League.”

Toulouse chairman Bernard Sarrazain added: “Being able to count on a player with Frank’s pedigree is great for us.

“He will help us to cross the extra step towards the Super League. We are delighted to have him with us.”
