Five Catalans players arrested

Five Catalans players have been arrested following an incident in Leeds city centre last night.

The Dragons were in West Yorkshire for their game with Wakefield, which they lost 28-20. A club spokesman confirmed that the players have been arrested and that the club is co-operating fully with the Police.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire police confirmed that nine men are in custody in total and that two men were taken to hospital for treatment to head injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.

The incident was captured on CCTV at 2.15am in Boar Lane, in Leeds city centre.

The rest of the Dragons squad flew home this morning. They face Harlequins in London on Sunday.
